Making Abby's First Birthday Cake

Abby wanted to help make her Birthday Cake and was very interested in the mixer. She didn't know what she thought about the batter. After careful examination she decided to give it a taste.

What some chicken!

We were having dinner one night while Grannie was visiting and she gave Abigail chicken bones to teeth on. She said this was what she used to my brother and I when we were little. She was so cute and looked so happy we just had to share it.

Some Pictures I Left Out!

This is one big burrito and she has her little mouth open as big as it can get so that she can get herself a bite. She did not get as much of this burrito as it looks like but she really likes tortillas!!!Peek-a-boo I see you!

Abby loves to play with her Grannie when she comes to visit.
Abigail wanted to make sure that she said "Hi" to you herself.

Abby's First Away from Home Babysitter - July 21st, 2008

Abigail stayed with her first babysitter way from home this week. Our friends and neighbors, the Teasley's watched her for us. I had a meeting at church and Andrew had to sleep since he had the midwatch at work. She had a lot of fun with them, they love her very much. They fed her snacks and chicken, which she loves! Abby is really working the lip in this picture. She was fine until she saw me and then she cried for me. It was after 8 pm and she was so ready for bed. You do get a little peak of her cute little teeth and her babydoll that Aunt Debbie and Uncle David gave her. Don't you just want to kiss and pinch those cheeks!!! It was a bit weird for me to be out and about without her with me, I missed her very much. I am glad that she did so well. She is growing so fast the last 8 1/2 months have gone by so fast!

We had a visit from some CUTIES!!!

David, Debbie, Luke & Joshua came to visit today on there way home from vacation. It was very good to see them. Abby had lots of fun and was spoiled with lots of hugs and kisses. Here are a few pictures. I took some of them and Luke took some of them.
Uncle David fed Abigail some yummy berries and snacks today. Lukie took this cute picture.
Luke (he is sooo cute) decided to have a little rest lying on the floor with his fuzzy cousin Buddy.Joshua's (he is too cute too!!!) hair is so blonde and long. He is trying out the surfer look. Our nephews are so handsome. Abigail had fun and wish they could have stayed longer, maybe they will come back again soon. :)

It has been a long road and he has worked really hard and we are so proud of him. So it looks like it is off to Monterey, California for us toward the end of August so the Andrew can work on a Master's Degree in Operational Analysis. Up next is a move and a cross country trip with our little sweet pea. Wish us luck!!

Abby's First Airplane Ride - May 16th, 2008

We flew to Washington, DC for Paul's graduation from medical school in May. Abby got to take her first airplane ride. We had to be at the airport around 6am and needed to wake up Abby early, early, early! But she did wonderful. She cried very little and was full of smiles. She smiled at everyone around us, she even peaked through the seat and smiled at the people sitting behind us. There were so many people who commented on how cute she was and how well behaved and happy she is. That is our little girl, always making people smile. We could not have asked for her to be any better than she was. Maybe this means she will be a good traveler when she gets older?

Piggy Tails!!!

Abigail had her hair put in her first Pig Tails today and she was too cute to not to share a picture of her. She reminds me of a character on Fraggle Rock!! She is such a sweet little baby girl and we have so much fun with her.

She is our sweet lil' devil!!!

Her hair is getting longer so it was fun to play with. Gotta love this sweet little face!!

She looks like a little cupie doll with her hair like this. She is so fun! Hope that you get a laugh looking at these. Before to long she will not be able to have a bath in the sink tub.

Abigail's 6 Month Update

Abigail makes a great mascot for the USS Rhode Island wearing daddy's hat. I don't think there is anyone on the submarine that looks as cute as she does wearing this hat!!! Abby loves water!! Especially if it comes from a water bottle, cup or straw.
She still loves her bath time.
Since we have this blog we thought we would use it to update everyone on Abigail. So we thought we would share a little bit of what she has been up to the last 2 months. Well we can't believe that Abigail is 6 month's old!! She is our little sweet pea that is growing so fast.

Here a few of our favorite pictures of our kids (one fuzzy, one not).
I guess the diaper makes for a good pillow.
I have often wondered what they were saying in this picture!
This is Abigails first Easter. The dress she is wearing was my dress when I was a baby (it is VERY old :) and came from the Philippines. We though that she looked so cute in this super pink dress. Only some one as cute as Abby can pull that color off!

She has had a lot of first in the last 2 months. She has has tasted oatmeal, peas, apples, carrots, squash, bananas, peaches and pears all for the first time. She loves everything and if you are eating she watches very intently and wants what ever you are eating.

Papa & Abigail - April 30th, 2008

Abigail had a visit from her Papa from Charleston, South Carolina this past week. Papa came and visited for a day but Abby loved him up while he was here.
He fed her rice cereal and did a good job of keeping her nice and clean. It has been a few years since he has fed a baby but he is an old pro at it.
As you can tell she was very tired during bathtime, she has that lip down pat and uses it to pull at our heart strings.
Abigail was sad that Papa had to head back home to help take care of Luke & Joshua. She hopes that Papa will come and visit again soon. I think that Papa had a hard time leaving little Abby, he says that she is precious.
